Terms of Service

Effective September 15, 2026

What changed on September 15, 2026: the free first round for new accounts and the referral free-round program have been discontinued and are no longer described in these Terms. A section on course access codes has been added and is pending legal review. The previous version was effective August 18, 2026.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Master Caddies mobile application (“App”) operated by Lemmings, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account & Profile

You may create a player profile to personalize your caddie experience. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information and for all activity under your account.

You agree not to share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. The Service

Master Caddies provides:

  • AI-generated caddie briefings and strategy advice
  • Live GPS yardage tracking during rounds of golf
  • Voice questions answered by AI caddie personalities
  • Course scorecard scanning, scoring, and post-round analysis
  • Shareable scorecards

The App is intended to enhance your golf experience. Caddie advice is AI-generated and should not be considered professional instruction. You are responsible for your own play decisions on the course.

4. GPS & Location Accuracy

GPS yardages are approximate and depend on device accuracy, satellite coverage, and course data quality. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in distance measurements. Always use your own judgment when selecting clubs and planning shots.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Certain features require payment. Purchases made within the App are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Purchases made on our website are processed by Stripe. All prices are displayed before purchase.

  • Single round: grants access for one round, from start to finish.
  • Monthly and annual subscriptions: unlimited rounds while active. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple and requested through Apple's support site. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.
  • Refunds for website purchases may be requested within 7 days at info@followrover.com.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Course Access Codes

Pending legal review — not yet part of these Terms

Will cover: access to the App granted through a participating course rather than an individual purchase.

For counsel — current practice: a course may include Master Caddies in its green fee or an outing and give the golfer a code. A code grants access for a defined period or a defined number of rounds, stated when the code is issued. That access depends on the course's agreement with us and ends if that agreement ends. Codes are issued to a golfer for their own use and are non-transferable. Nothing here is binding until counsel drafts it.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
  • Use the App while operating a golf cart or vehicle
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App

8. Course Etiquette & Safety

Master Caddies is designed to be used between shots with minimal distraction. You are responsible for maintaining proper golf etiquette, pace of play, and awareness of your surroundings while using the App. Keep your phone down and eyes up during play.

9. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including caddie personalities, voice recordings, AI-generated briefings, course data, graphics, and software — is owned by Lemmings, LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may share scorecard results and analysis through the App's built-in sharing features. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any other App content without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

AI-generated caddie advice is for entertainment and general guidance only. It does not constitute professional golf instruction.

GPS distances are approximate. We are not responsible for club selection or shot outcomes based on App data.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemmings, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account and data at any time through the App settings.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
